I thought I had it all figured out. I was certain to some degree as to how the kdrama Mouse will play out with the remaining episodes it still has to air.
But just when I thought the narrative would show Jung Bareum triumph over the supposed control of Sung Yohan’s frontal lobe with the latter’s consciousness, episode 15 thwarted all that with some shocking revelations; and just like that, I was betrayed. I felt so cheated.
Who is the Main Villain in the Kdrama Mouse?
If you’re not ready to find out who the psychopath kid and the main villain in Mouse is, hold up and read my initial impressions on Mouse instead.
The writers had me fooled all along. Yet, the feeling of betrayal was so good in a way. It was so satisfying to see your expectations suddenly thrown out the window because the storyline takes a different turn. This is why Mouse for me is definitely one of the best narratives in Korean Drama this year.
The shocking twist in episode 15 to those of us who have been following the unfolding of the drama since it started was just so unexpected.
I mean, seriously, who could have predicted that beloved main lead, Jung Bareum, would turn out to be the main villain and psychopath killer? It was a shocking twist that left me reeling and questioning everything I thought I knew about this drama.
While I was watching it the other night, I was literally gaping. My head hurt as I processed the turn of events. It was a lot to take in.
This goes to show how well Lee Seung-gi portrayed his role. The pretense that his character staged throughout the show was huge for him to fool everyone including us.
I don’t even want to predict the next episodes anymore! 😆
Though, there was a statement from the ending part of episode 15 that a special episode will be aired next week told in the point of view of the psychopath Jung Bareum. All the gaps in the drama hopefully will be bridged by this special episode so as to answer our questions.
Why did Sung Yohan allow himself to be deemed the suspect of the murders? How did Jung Bareum stage his deceit from people close to him. Will his growing conscience save him? How will Go- muchi react? What will Bongyi do if she learns the truth?
These are some of the questions I want to have answers for in the next episodes.
Moreover, I also want to see how this poetic justice applied to Jung Bareum’s character, him growing a conscience and realizing the damage he has done, will affect the final transformation of his character.
Can a character tainted by deaths be saved? We just have to wait for the special and next episodes to find out. As viewers, we are always at the mercy of writers and the narrative in general. There is nothing left to do but wait and hope that in some way or another, all the characters will get a piece of redemption and hope to move forward.
What about you? Did you feel betrayed too? How did you process the twists and turns of the drama? Leave a comment and let’s talk…

I love this! Now i have to go catch up on mouse!
Go! It was really one hell of a drama ride.
Shouldn’t there have been a scene where bong yi felt guilty of suffocating and killing yohan?
